Suzhou International Expo Center
Suzhou International Expo Center was established in May 2003 and officially opened in 2004. In 2012, to promote the unified and perfect layout of the Eastern Comprehensive Business City, Suzhou International Expo Center formally merged with Suzhou Cultural and Art Center to form Suzhou Cultural Expo Center.
Suzhou International Expo Center is located in the northern part of Jinji Lake Cultural Water Corridor, Suzhou Industrial Park, with a land area of 188,600 square meters and a planned total construction area of 255,000 square meters. The project is divided into two phases for construction. The Phase I project completed a building area of 185,000 square meters, including an exhibition hall area of 70,000 square meters, meeting facilities area of 9,500 square meters, and a total outdoor square area of 35,000 square meters.
The expo center currently has 8 indoor exhibition halls with a display area of 70,000 square meters, and an outdoor square area of 140,000 square meters. The exhibition hall height is 12 meters. The net height of the first floor exhibition hall is 10 meters, with a load-bearing capacity of 5 tons/square meter, and the column spacing is 18x27 meters; the net height of the second floor exhibition hall is 12 meters, with a load-bearing capacity of 1.5 tons/square meter, which is a column-free continuous exhibition hall. The total outdoor square area of the expo center is 138,000 square meters, including a lakeside square of 103,000 square meters, a central square of 35,000 square meters, and 1,500 parking spaces.
