Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center
The Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center is managed and operated by Zhengzhou Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Management Co., Ltd. This company is a Sino-foreign joint venture specializing in venue management, established by Hong Kong Exhibition and Conference Venues Management (China) Limited and Shanghai International Exhibition Center Co., Ltd. It is one of the three iconic buildings in Zhengzhou's central business district, with a steel structure as its main body and a mast suspension cable steel structure for its roof. The main building consists of two parts: the conference center and the exhibition center, with a total construction area of 227,600 square meters, and rentable indoor area accounting for 74,000 square meters. It is a large exhibition facility that integrates conferences, exhibitions, cultural and entertainment activities, receptions, catering, and tourism sightseeing.
Its construction marks the official launch of the Zhengdong New District, which was conceptualized by the world-renowned architect Kisho Kurokawa and won the 'Outstanding Urban Planning and Design Award' at the World Architectural Congress. Located in the central business district of Zhengdong New District, the Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center is adjacent to National Road 107 and Jingzhu Expressway; it is 26 kilometers away from Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport, offering convenient transportation.
The Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center is a landmark building in Zhengzhou's Zhengdong New District and also the cornerstone project of Zhengdong New District. Its construction marks the official launch of the Zhengdong New District, which was conceptualized by the world-renowned architect Kisho Kurokawa and won international planning awards. The Zhengzhou Municipal Party Committee and the Zhengzhou Municipal Government have paid great attention to the construction of the Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center. Comrade Li Ke, Secretary of the Zhengzhou Municipal Party Committee, has clearly instructed that it should be built into an internationally first-class landmark building with first-class planning, design, engineering, and team.
The Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center is divided into two parts: the conference center and the exhibition center:
Conference part: The main building is six stories high, with a circular layout, covering an area of 60,800 square meters. It is composed of a multifunctional hall that can accommodate 5,000 people, an international seminar hall that can accommodate 1,200 people, two meeting rooms that can accommodate 400 people each, and more than ten medium and small meeting rooms. The roof is composed of a central mast with a diameter of 154 meters that slants, supported by 12 trunks with three branches, forming a folding cone-shaped structure. Exhibition part: The floor plan is a strip layout with a fan-shaped end, covering an area of 153,600 square meters. It can set up 3,560 international standard booths. The exhibition hall is two stories, with a grid spacing of 30x30 meters on the first floor and no columns on the second floor, forming a 72,000-square-meter large exhibition hall, 40.5 meters high, with a mast truss arch structure spanning 102 meters.
Exhibition Center: The main building is two stories, with an auxiliary building of six stories, covering an area of 166,800 square meters. It consists of two exhibition halls, meeting rooms, dining facilities, offices, and shops. The two exhibition halls together can set up 3,560 booths of 9 square meters each, with a span of 102 meters and five movable partitions, which can divide the exhibition hall into six independent exhibitions. The second floor exhibition hall has no column intervals. Vehicles can directly enter the two exhibition halls for setup or dismantling.
