Taipei Nangang Exhibition center
Taipei Nangang Exhibition center
Completed in late July 1996 and officially operational on March 13, 1997, the Nangang Exhibition Hall is a large professional exhibition hall with upper and lower exhibition halls that can accommodate 2,465 standard booths. Not only is its exhibition area twice as large as that of the Taipei World Trade Center exhibition building, but it also boasts eight meeting rooms (expandable to twelve), three restaurants, and seven shops facing the road, all providing users with more humanized and convenient services and facilities. The roof span of the upper exhibition hall at Nangang Exhibition Hall reaches 126x180 meters, with a clear height of 14.3~27.3 meters, and there are no columns throughout the area, making it suitable for hosting large-scale concerts, large-scale gatherings, various ball games, and martial arts competitions during exhibition downtime. To create an international-class, first-rate exhibition space, TAITRA will evaluate the addition of various operational equipment tailored to the characteristics of Nangang Exhibition Hall, including multilingual exhibition signs and online navigation systems, and full-building wireless internet access.
Nangang Exhibition Hall is a two-story exhibition hall constructed by LTR Construction Co., Ltd. The site area is approximately 60,000 square meters, the building area is approximately 35,600 square meters, and the total floor area is approximately 144,184 square meters, with a building height of 40 meters. There are 7 above-ground floors and 2 underground floors. The total area of the upper and lower exhibition halls is 46,175 square meters, which can plan for 2,628 standard booths, twice the size of the exhibition hall on the first floor of the Taipei World Trade Center exhibition building. The roof span of the upper exhibition hall is 186 meters long, with no columns throughout the area, suitable not only for exhibitions but also as a multi-functional indoor sports and large-scale performance venue. The west side of the exhibition hall is planned for office, conference, dining, and shop spaces, while the east side mainly houses mechanical and electrical facilities. The construction cost was NT$3.59 billion.
The multi-functional conference rooms are distributed across the fourth (4 rooms) and fifth (4 rooms) floors, totaling 11 rooms that can be flexibly adjusted, covering an area of 1,860 square meters, capable of accommodating 1,600 people for meetings simultaneously. Among them, one room is a 376-square-meter stepped conference room that can accommodate 306 people. The other 7 conference rooms can adjust the use space according to needs, ranging from 102 to 505 square meters, arranging seats for 84 to 561 people respectively. The exhibition hall is equipped with specialized broadcasting, audio control, and video multimedia conference systems, ensuring smooth and successful conduct of various types of meetings.
