The Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) is a joint venture between Shanghai Lujiazui Exhibition Development Co., Ltd. and Messe Duesseldorf GmbH (including subsidiaries such as Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai Ltd./Duesseldorf Trade Fair GmbH/Messe München International GmbH), both from Germany. As the first exhibition center in China with foreign investment, SNIEC has become one of the most successful exhibition centers in China.
With 17 column-free halls on a single level, SNIEC offers an indoor exhibition area of 200,000 square meters and an outdoor exhibition area of 100,000 square meters. Since its opening in 2001, SNIEC has experienced steady growth, hosting over 80 renowned exhibitions annually, attracting more than three million domestic and international visitors. The successful operation of SNIEC highlights the significant role of exhibition economy in the rapid development of China's economy and the East Asia economic region.
